(Dupin no. 1300). Denisart's principal work, "which opened the way so widely followed by modern jurists… This book, a truly monumental work, enjoyed a success that attests to its value…" (Larousse of the 19th century). This is the penultimate edition, substantially expanded compared to previous ones. The final edition was published in 1771. It should be noted that this work is not presented as a repertory of judgments, as one might expect, but as an alphabetical collection.
